Terribly British, and glazed in sultry euro-pop, Black Box Recorder is made up of lead singer Sarah Nixey, drummer John More (formerly of Jesus and Mary Chain) and lyricist and musician Luke Haines. With their knack for subversion and acerbic, ironic, and dub-influenced songs their third full length album “Passionia” was released in 2003. Black Box Recorder continues to make delightfully witty and biting songs about English life, pop stardom and of course Princess Diana.
