FLUX OF PINK INDIANS
"An underrated work." - Suburban Voice
Flux of Pink Indians was a fiercely leftist punk band formed by vocalist Colin Latter, his brother, bassist Derek Birkett, guitarist Kevin Hunter and drummer Martin Wilson.
The first Flux Of Pink Indians release came in 1982, an EP titled, Neu Smell, originally issued via the equally politically radical Crass Records. Neu Smell featured the indie hit, “Tube Diaster”. Soon afterwards, Flux released the Strive to Survive Causing Least Suffering Possible album, also via Crass. In 1985, Derek Birkett set up a bedroom label, One Little Indian, to release future albums by his group and acts he loved. Strive/Neu Smell was one of the first releases reissued on One Little Indian.
